Breathing & some fundamentals
Well, to start things off, the way that you're taking in the breath is probably problematic and today’s sole mission is to change that, keep reading.
Will you take a moment to visualize a straw? Ok now imagine this straw is bent in some way, what then happens to the liquid contents? There is a stop in the flow of energy when your spine (straw) is hunched over so be sure to sit up nice and tall and elongate through the crown of your head. The same straw, imagine it to be how you take in the breath. The breath should be taken in slowly as if inhaling through a straw.
Next, breathing in and out from our nose signals and activates our parasympathetic nervous system, the system of rest and digestion. Have you ever noticed the motion that your abdomen makes when you breathe? Take a moment to breathe in and out. As you inhale, your navel should rise; as you exhale, your navel should fall (or lower). If this is not happening for you try to adjust by bringing a simple awareness to the movement of the breath by placing your hand on your navel center and just observing the movement.
Short, sweet, something you need. It shouldn't be complicated so let's not make it!
